AERC Legacy Foundation Purpose

The primary purpose of the AERC Legacy Fund is to provide AERC with financial security in difficult times and to assist in funding special projects as needed.

The main goals of the Legacy Foundation are to establish a professionally managed endowment and provide the means of gathering and monitoring funds to be used for AERC’s fundamental objectives. Once funded the Legacy Foundation will be able to help minimize the need for increases in membership dues, while increasing the ability of AERC to financially support research, trails preservation and development, and education. The Legacy Foundation is an IRS/IRC recognized 501c3 making your donations tax deductible.

Your financial support may be directed towards the enrichment of the endowment fund, or to one or more of our cornerstone value funds:

  • Trail Development & Preservation
  • Education
  • Research

All contributions are appreciated, regardless of the dollar amount. Donating is a simple, quick process, you may use our on-line donation form link. The AERC Legacy Fund

As members, many of us are appreciative of the opportunities that AERC has provided us to develop friendships, experience adventures which no travel company can provide and to love and bond with our horses as no other horse sport readily avails.

If you are such a member and would like this legacy of comradeship and horsemanship to endure, please consider the AERC Legacy Fund in your charitable donations each year.  Many of us are aging and may provide for our love of this sport in our wills through the AERC Legacy Fund.

AERC Legacy Fund Support

AERC may expect Legacy Fund to support member/rider education, equine welfare/research and outreach programs as the AERC Board of Directors recommends to the Legacy Fund Directors.  The Legacy Fund may also provide support for the electronic organization of the plethora of data generated by participants in our sport.  As you can imagine, software for such data is complex and potentially expensive.
